The ReadySteadyPlug Solution
A reliable EV charging system for strata that fits your building today and scales for tomorrow.
ReadySteadyPlug is a managed EV charging network designed specifically for apartment and strata buildings. It uses standard 10A or 15A outlets, centralised electrical distribution, dynamic load management and automated billing.
How it works
Centralised Design
The ReadySteadyPlug EV Charging Distribution Board (EVDB) can be installed in the main switchboard and can also be distributed throughout the building’s parking areas.
From there, multiple 10A or 15A outlets are supplied to parking bays.
Each outlet is:
Individually metered
Individually RCD protected
Centrally managed
The EVDB is connected to the internet via a central data connection. No Wi-Fi or internet connection is required at individual parking bays or charge points.
Dynamic Load Management
The system continuously monitors:
Building supply limits
Common property load
EV charging load
Charging output adjusts automatically based on available capacity.
If building demand increases, EV charging reduces. When capacity returns, charging resumes.
This protects:
Electrical infrastructure
Safety margins
Maximum demand exposure
Fair Resident Billing
All residents in the building benefit from:
Individually metered outlets
EV-drivers pay only for the electricity they use
Automatic billing to their card, with strata reimbursed monthly
Scheduled charging and support for multi-tariffs
No manual administration for strata or building managers
Non-EV residents are not subsidising EV charging
Scales with demand
EV adoption in strata buildings increases gradually.
ReadySteadyPlug allows staged deployment:
Start with limited installation
Expand as demand grows
Avoid overbuilding early
Infrastructure investment aligns with real uptake.
